Le Labo Bergamote 22 has been on my wishlist for more than a year - there was always something else I wanted/needed/had to pay for so I've been delaying this purchase.

For those not familiar with Le Labo, the fragrances are mixed fresh in front of you in the 'lab'.

It is fairly unusual for me to write a perfume review because I'm not one of those types that can detect each note and critique a perfume in a poetic fashion. But what I do know is what I like and what smells good (in my opinion) - I don't like heavy and overpowering perfumes.

Having dismissed L'Eau de Chloe because I did not like the original Chloe (too sweet and cloying for me), I was pleasantly surprised when I tried it in a department store. I couldn't stop smelling the sample card afterwards - the smell is quite addictive.

I have always walked past the Le Labo counter in Liberty because I thought it looked so clinical.  And also because I didn't really know about the concept.
