A LIPSTICK A DAY

Joues Contraste in Fleur de Lotus is part of the 2012 Le Blanc Fleur de Lotus makeup collection and is an Asia exclusive.  The two feature products, the blush and the green Illusion d'Ombre in Riviere, immediately reminded me of traditional Chinese paintings of Lotus flowers - intense coral (or pink) with a light wash of green.

I love this shot of Christina Hendricks with the popsicle stained lip look from Elle magazine.  For March I've been mainly wearing my ultra bright blushes with a nude lip.

After watching a Lisa Eldridge video the other day, I realised I didn't have a blue based pink cream blush.  So that was my excuse to get Kevyn Aucoin Creamy Glow in Liquifuschia.

I was quite excited to see Kevyn Aucoin stocked at Space NK here in the UK.  I remember flicking through a copy of Face Forward eons ago (when I wasn't that into makeup) and being amazed at the transformations.  Having a piece of Kevyn Aucoin makeup won't make me a stellar makeup artist but it brings a smile to my face.

I'm not a fan of glitter nail polish - but I'm in love with Deborah Lippmann's Glitter in the Air.  Deborah Lippmann is relatively hard to find in London so I've never really looked at the range properly.

In addition to the three Suqqu spring blushes, I decided last minute to pick up the limited edition EX-04 透桜 Tousakura Creamy Glow Lipstick Moist.
