Lipstick of the day #19 - Dior Addict Extreme Lipstick in Lucky #536

The new Dior Addict Extreme lipsticks are lipsticks that are long(er) lasting with the glossy wet look. They are similar to the existing Addict lipsticks but not as sheer - these are more opaque and pigmented whilst still providing the glossy finish.
The packaging is very similar as well - the new Addict Extremes has a black case instead of the clear.
Lucky #536 is the promoted "Kate Moss" shade and is a vibrant blue based pink that is almost universal for all skintones. I love the texture of this lipstick - it is not as soft & fragile as the Addict lipsticks. On first application it reminded me of the Suqqu Creamy Glow Moist Lipsticks - it is so smooth and just glides across the lips.
The finish is a very dewy wet look without the stickiness of gloss - I have an aversion to gloss because I can't stand my hair sticking to my lips. As for lasting power, there is only so much that you can expect from a glossy lipstick. I would say it lasts about 3 to 4 hours on me, and then it leaves a colour stain behind on my lips (which I quite like). Lucky is beautiful and perfect for summer. I also bought Riviera and I will probably buy more when the "new" colours (St Tropez, Pink Icon, Holiday & Cruise) launches in the UK.
* Sorry the photos for this post wasn't great - I thought the photos were ok when I took them but a lot of them ended up being blurry due to lack of natural daylight :(

This lipstick is beautiful, I never tried anything from Dior but I really need to, specially these Addict lipsticks I've seen reviews of the hot pink shade and it's really pretty too xx

Pretty colour! I'm trying to get my hands on St. Tropez but it's sold out at a lot of the counters around me. I really like the formula of the extreme.. and unexpected fave :). xx

Glitter Detector - Yes these lipsticks would be a good intro to Dior!

Aleeza - St Tropez is not at the counters here yet...I can't wait to get my hands on it.

hm how does it compare to the suqqu after first application? I've heard it can be a bit drying? is the Suqqu worth the extra £3?

Stephanie - I'm assuming you mean the Suqqu permanent line. I've only tried the Suqqu spring lipsticks from this year which is a more sheer/glossy formula so it's hard to compare. I don't find the Dior ones drying though - I don't need to apply lip balm on a normal day until afternoon. I'd say, if you've been wanting to try the Suqqu lipsticks then go for it - the £3 difference is not a lot! Really depends on which colours you prefer. x
