L'Oréal Super Liner Carbon Gloss

I know I feature a lot of high end products on my blog, but I do use some "drugstore" makeup as well.  Basic eyeliners are one of them, and I think this liquid eyeliner from L'Oréal is worth every bit of £6.50.

With a L'Oréal Super Liner, you're basically getting a Lancôme Artliner for ⅓ of the price (Lancôme Artliner retails for £19.90).  I used to use Lancôme until I found out L'Oréal Super Liner is pretty much the same formula (L'Oréal owns Lancôme) and applicator.

Nails of the day #4 - Chanel Summer Mishmash

I wanted to do colourful but fresh nails for the last remaining few days of summer.  I picked five summery Chanel colours and used them for french tips with clear polish.  I did this very quickly late at night so it's not the best manicure but hey-ho.  I like the look - it's a nice change from full on polish.

Colbert MD Nourish Eye Cream

First things first - this Colbert MD Nourish Eye Cream retails for £90 at Liberty.  I'd been looking for a new eye gel/cream, so I was extremely happy when I was given this to try from iFabbo.

From www.colbertmd.com
How it Works
  • Natural ingredients in their active state encourage the skin to self heal, ultimately firming and rehydrating the delicate area around the eyes.
  • Promotes collagen production while brightening skin, eliminating dark circles and reducing under-eye puffiness.
  • Helps reverse the appearance of lines and wrinkles and renews youthful suppleness to the entire eye area.

Boudoir Privé August Box

Finally the first Boudoir Privé box arrived this morning.  The brands were already known so I had some idea of what products would be in the box.

I re-tied the ribbon to make it more photogenic.  OCD much?

The box itself is similar to the GlossBox - ribbon, card and lots of black tissue paper.  However the card was hand-written, which is a nice personal touch. (I examined it for a while CSI style to see whether it was actually hand-written and it is)

REN Resurfacing AHA Concentrate

I have been using this for about 6 weeks now, so I thought it's time for a review (especially since I see a lot of traffic to this blog from people googling about the REN Radiance range).  But then I realised I have been putting off writing a review for this because I am not sure what to make of it.

To those who are not sure what AHA is, Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA) acts as an exfoliant, getting rid of the old skin cells and therefore allowing to renew itself.  It's this renewal process which makes your skin appear brighter and smoother.

Chanel Les 4 Ombres Quad in Prélude

For a non-eyeshadow person like me, I have bought quite a lot of Chanel quad eyeshadows recently.  And by non-eyeshadow, I mean I don't wear full on eyeshadow everyday - usually only when I go out at night or if I do wear it to work, just one colour along the lashline.  And Prélude drew me in because it's a neutrals palette (yay!) and ALL the colours are wearable (yay!).

Chanel Illusion d'Ombre in Mirifique

First of all I need to apologise for the photos in this post - I took photos before I had a play with this and it ended up that a lot of the photos were not in focus.  So some of these photos will have a dent in them.

I have been waiting for so long for these.  It is a bit ridiculous how collections in US are launched more than a month before the UK.  I had seen photos and swatches of all the Illusion d'Ombre but the one that drew me in was Mirifique.
