Chanel Rouge Coco Rivoli is not a colour I'd normally pick. It looks a bit drab and stuffy-old lady in the tube. You know the type I'm talking about - immaculate clothes and hair with a tiny yappy dog. But after seeing this beauty photo from the Chanel F/W 11 Haute Couture Show, I was sold.

Especially with the matching nail polish in Rouge Fatal. (FYI Peter Philips dusted Chanel loose powder over the top of Rivoli for a semi matte look).
What I like about the Rouge Coco packaging is that they're a bit like a Chanel suit or 2.55 handbag - it's classic and timeless, and never looks vulgar (even if you decide to re-apply your lipstick in public).
Rivoli #21 is a deep berry burgundy. How dark the colour appears depends on the natural colour of your lips, and of course your skin tone and hair colour.
The formula is supposed to be hydrating but I find it does dry my lips a little after a few hours.
I will be wearing this lipstick again once autumn sets in (which is not too soon I hope).
Here's one more model beauty photo:

Those are photos of models from a Chanel show! I hope I look half as good as them wearing Rivoli ;)
